The Birthwork Foundation offers comprehensive, culturally informed care that supports families through every stage of the perinatal journey.

Our services include birth, postpartum, and bereavement doula support, as well as lactation consulting and community health worker (CHW) services.

Our doulas receive specialized training in areas such as newborn care, fetal positioning, placenta encapsulation, and lactation counseling, ensuring that each family receives personalized and evidence-based care.

We take pride in offering trauma-informed and equity-centered support, meeting families where they are with compassion and respect.

Families can easily begin the process by completing an intake form available on our website.

Once submitted, families are connected to potential doulas through our innovative MyDoulaConnect platform, which helps match clients with doulas in our collective based on their preferences, needs, and location.

After reviewing available profiles, families are encouraged to interview doulas and select the one whose energy, approach, and skill set best align with their birth preferences.

Yes. All of our doulas are trained through The Birthwork Foundation’s comprehensive training program and complete their certification through DONA International.

Yes. Our doulas provide dedicated on-call support beginning at 38 weeks and continuing through 41 weeks of pregnancy.

If labor begins earlier than 38 weeks, families are still fully supported—our team ensures that a qualified doula is available and ready to provide care, whether virtually or in person, depending on the circumstances.
